I want to try a faceless channel using AI voiceover and stock footage but I’m worried the market is saturated and everything sounds the same. Has anyone stuck with it long enough to see real numbers, or is it a trap?
Not a trap but the lazy version is dead. The channels that die are the ones reading a generic script over free stock clips. I picked a narrow niche (weird history of everyday objects) and spent real effort on scripts. AI does the voice and rough draft, I do the hook and pacing. 9 months in, 14k subs. The differentiator is the idea, not the tools.
14k is encouraging. Did you make any money before you hit that or is it all a long grind before the first dollar?
Different lane but similar story – I do faceless finance explainers. First payout took about 4 months and it was tiny, like $30. But affiliate links in the description made more than ad revenue early on. Don’t wait for the ad money, monetize with a relevant offer from day one.
