I record a lot of voice notes and interviews. Looking for accurate, ideally cheap/free transcription. Suggestions?

OpenAI’s Whisper is the gold standard for accuracy and it’s free/open — lots of apps wrap it. If you want zero setup, most note apps now have solid built-in AI transcription too.

Whisper-based tools have been the most accurate for my accented interviewees by far.
